Weekendz started as a way to meet people in new cities as I solo travel. I wanted to have the hostel-like social experience anytime at all, not only while traveling and staying in a hostel.

The goal of technology shouldn’t be to become less human (ie. virtual conversations), but more human, allowing us to further connect, connect more easily, and build deeper connections with new people with less effort, globally. This is the worthy mission of, and purpose for, Weekendz.

We are currently working on building the app. We have the app’s UI and UX designed in Figma, and we are testing an MVP using a Snapchat Groupchat to Ping! meetups.
